Clinton is not in trouble for boffing 21 yr. old interns but for denying that
behavior in sworn legal testimony in the Paula Jones case. Starr was given
evidence of the President, a lawyer , committing perjury, a felony. The
President is guilty now by his own admission of this crime. He is now in a
very weak position to fend off further calls for investigation of illegal
campaign finance cotributions by foreign governments attempting to influence
US policy. If those investigations go forward it may bring down Gore as well.
That is a situation the market will have to deal with. Turmoil of that nature
might have an interesting effect on the dollar particularly as the european
countries try to establish the Euro as a new major currency.
