I use IE 3.02 but my mail manager is MS Outlook
and I don't have any problems viewing GIF images.
E-Mail with images (any format) show up in my Mail
Manager with a symbol (paper clip) to show images
are appended.
Don't know why you're having problems so take this
as info.
