I suppose that technically it is, but so are a lot of other things - anything
to do with business for starters.  However, this is also a relative term,
whereby we can speak of certain endeavors being *more of a gamble* then
something else.  Casino gambling, therefore, would be much more of a *gamble*
than a skilled trading of financial instruments.   However, this does bring out
the element that trading (or investing for that matter) essentially involves
wagering on future outcomes.  Once we understand that properly, this may help
us keep our perspective on what exactly is taking place during the process of
trading = e.g. the fact that the only thing that is bought and sold is the
future right to sell the instrument, therefore realizing more fully the
absolute role that supply and demand play.
