Aongus and all,
That's my point exactly. I am one of those traders anxious to get off the
dirt road and onto the automation superhighway. For those of us who do not
know, what is the LIFFE and the DTB? Don't keep us in the dark, what happened
to the price of a seat.
My goal is to try and do something affirmative to help progress along here.
The powers to be are fairly content they can prevent and drag it out for
years. Cantor Fitzgerald is attempting to get it going in connection with the
New York Futures Exchange, the CBOT has registered objections meaning the
CBOT and the major money behind it is going to block and stand against
automation. It will cost these guys a ton to have to play straight on with
the rest of us and many will not make it. I really enjoy trading but detest
the crooked and unethical practices that go on in the pit. The trickery
practiced is designed to take advantage and opportune orders mostly hurting
the small less informed trader.
We are not yet getting much in the way of any interest on this subject or any
suggestions of ways to go about supporting it. Perhaps that is why it will
probably take so long to happen, the remote and private traders that are
being taken to the cleaners probably do not know it or have become
conditioned to having it done to them and do not care.
