This was an excellant post and really highlights trading by Scott
Billington. There are only a few
systems of commercial nature that can hold up over time.Futures
magazine listed those systems in July 97.( The 10 best systems.)
Another important issue to realize there is no holy grail. Money and
success are made over a period of time .. and DISCIPLINE IS THE KEY.
Even these best 10 systems have flat days on average of greater than
150 days. Traders must believe in their systems and follow them
througth hell and high water.
This is what delinates success and failure. I have seen clients have
systems that stand the possibilty of pulling out profits but they
don't have the fortitude to stick out the envitable drawdowns.
