Bill,
By all means post away, I believe in that freedom profoundly. I also
believe in the right to disagree. If you are successful, telling others
about your methods is fine. However, to suggest in a public forum that the
use of other's methods are of little use is not something that should go
unchallenged. Indeed your own post showed that you do not respond to price
alone but use indicators such as Fibonacci retracements and volume. An
indicator is defined as anything that indicates, even news is an indicator.
Statistical indicators based on price are of course at issue here and they
do not specifically foretell what move the market will make. Getting
specific is the problem isn't it. However, how does one explain the likes
of Gann when he made accurate predictions about the markets hours, days,
weeks and even years in advance.

I use indicators and they work very well for me. I have a laid back
style. I don't day trade in the traditional sense. I sleep well for someone
with chronic fatigue syndrome. I trade mostly options with a high
probability of success. It has been suggested that we be traders, not
teachers but I appreciate you and others explaining their approach to
trading that we may all decide what works best for us individually. Without
someone to trade with, with a different opinion there would be no trading
at all. We are all at service in that regard.

Best regards,

Brent

For Brent et al

The problem with posting to RT and then getting the comments back both
through the forum and by way of private mail, is this: the dismissive
comments tend to be on the public arena and the interested ones tend to be
private. Those reading and wondering get a biased view. Can't be
helped,
because it is all part of the human condition.

Those that want to will, those that don't won't.

Anyway here's one that was sent privately....

Greetings:
Excellent post.
I am in accordance.
Sincerely,
Pompatis

..... which seemed to sum up the rest, so I shall continue to post about
learning to trade - suggesting the tools that seem most successful to me.
Then everyone can still discuss or delete as the please, as well as writing
to me privately if they prefer.

My mailbox is open to allcomers!
