RealTraders:
For new members that may have just joined us, I just want to remind you that
we've just introduced some web-based subtopics. They're not intended as a
replacement for the predominant format of RealTraders, which is email. But
they're there if you want to find a slower paced niche to hang out at. We've
enlisted the help of some very capable moderators recently. Some of them
are:
Systems and Mechanical Trading Discussion moderated by Dr. John V.
Cappello, Steve McGuire, and Jeff Pollack
Options moderated by Gregg R. Murray
Trading Psychology moderated by Walt Downs and Rick Ingram
Geometric Forecasting Techniques/Gann, Fibonacci moderated by Jim White
They're new and it'll take awhile to get the ball rolling, but it might pay
to check it out.

RealTraders Etiquette
1. If you're right about something. Don't brag about it. That is not a
trader's attitude. Traders both win and lose as a matter of routine; both
are good if you're managing money correctly. Therefore, the more mature you
are as a trader, the less need you will feel for bragging about being
correct. When traders win, they move on. When traders lose, the move on.
2. If you post an idea that turns out to be right but don't brag about it,
you will earn more respect from the rest of us.
3. Humor is good, but at least try to be funny.
4. In the normal course of business, it's not good to be rude. But I also
realize that silencing someone who is behaving like a total idiot is
sometimes a community effort.
5. If you talk about something you also sell, what you're saying has to be
educational and non-commericial in tone. Use brand names sparingly. Talk
instead about methodology. Back up what you say with numbers. Rest assured
that people get really annoyed if you step over the fine line.
6. You will be kicked off if you try to B.S. anybody on the list.
7. If you are not a trader or are just learning, you are welcome to ask
questions.
8. If you are not a trader, but think you know a lot about making
predictions--trust me--you will feel more at home on a newsgroup like
misc.invest.stocks or misc.invest.futures.
9. Don't be an educator or teacher. Be a trader.
