The last time I queried Prophet re BetterData, which is advertised as Omega
downloader compatible, they advised me that they did not yet handle splits
and distributions automatically. With the astronomical numbers of splits and
distributions these days, anyone following a large universe of stocks might
want to consider the downside. Also, I've been unable to obtain a listing of
their index symbols, however they did advise me that there are differences
in symbols between BD and DD so anyone who does considerable intermarket
work might want to check into this before leaping.
As for downloading from DD via internet, there is no question that access
has been either unavailable or excruciatingly slow for the past week or so.
