Here is a reply sent privately to me. I have deleted the name to protect
the innocent.  A very good point is made about trusting the News.

For the most part, I do not pursue the News on the markets.  At least
not on a daily basis.  The price action on a chart reflects the emotions
of the traders that day.  The why does not matter as much.
