Everyone seems to advise "finish school."

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that maybe that isn't the best
advice.

Yes I did graduate with a BS. It took very little study for me to get a B-
average which suited me just fine and was good enough to keep my parents
shelling out the tens of thousands per year to keep me there.

Fast-forward some years later and I recently got my Master's. I paid for it
myself working full-time. Guess what! A 4.0 average (An "A" in every single
class) and I got a whole hell of a lot more out it. Even considering going
on to get a PhD

Now maybe staying in school was best for me -- and it may be the best
overall advice, but it is a whole lot more useful and rewarding when
education is something you actually want. And having some actual industry
experience seems to bring coursework into greater focus.
