I know a little about Primerica. It originally was known as A.L.
Williams, back in the '80s. I had a bad taste in my mouth from my dealings
with them. They made their money by getting people to "churn" their existing
life insurance, and re-purchase term insurance and mutual funds through
them. It was a multi-level marketing scheme, in which everyone suddenly
became experts in insurance and finance overnight.It was later on that A.L.
Williams, turned it into Primerica.
I am not as kindly disposed towards them as other members of this list may
be, because I saw firsthand some of their sales reps pass themselves off as
experts trying to help the public, when they knew little about what they
were talking about. I was very disgusted at the time.
