Jeff,
I opened an Ameritrade account just to try them out. Overall I like them and
the prices are great of course. The web sight works well. The orders have
all been filled promply, etc. There is just one problem that bugs me, but I'm
living with it. For some weird reason, they won't let you put in buy stop
limit orders with any kind of a spread. I mean, if you do a buy stop limit
order, both the stop price and the limit price must be the same price.
Normally, you would want to put in an order like, buy on a stop at 40 but a
limit of 40 1/4. In other words, buy if the price goes above 40 but not if it
runs past 40 1/4 for example.
