eyeballing i see its giving off a bearish signal or bullish signal..this is
confirmed by consulting the expert analyst......however i never ever get
alerts on the chartscanner..are signals different from alerts? THere doesnt
seem to be much mention of signals..i assume they are the alerts..i have
placed all kinds of alerts..stochastics, dmi, obv, accumulation, percent r and
dont get any alerts...when you are cycling thru 30 futures and about 100
stocks over and over you'd think i'd get an alert...chartscanner appears to be
set up right..i am getting other alerts..what do you think? >>

Bando,
I think I might know what's happening. First check to make sure you have
clicked on the enable alert box under the properities tab of the indicator you
want to chart scan with. If that is checked, then I think what your problem
is is that just enabling an alert on an indicator really isn't controlling
what triggers the alert. Omega has devised their own ideas of what is a
useful trigger for any particular indicator. It is these ideas that they have
coded into the varioius indicators' alerts. So the best way to control
precisely what you want to trigger your alert, you must create a show me study
that uses your indicator of choice and "what happens" with that indicator that
will trigger your alert. In other words, you want an MACD cross up or down,
you code that into your showme. To understand how to code an MACD cross up or
down, all you have to do is look at the prebundled MACD system that
Supercharts comes with. Hope that helps. Let me know how you make out.
