1. Norman Winski and BobR - 12/03/97 on Lunar
aspects:

> Norm, what are your Lunar Aspects for today? Anything
significant? Let's
> see how they compare to fib lines and the
pivots today.

All Times are EST. This was typed at 2:15 PM EST, Dec. 3,
1997.

9:53 AM Moon Comj. Venus = so far the high of the day in
S&Ps.
3:29 PM Moon Conj. Neptune = ?

Lunar aspects tend to
have a one hour orb of influence. In otherwords,
watch for the Moon to start
to influence the market one hour before,
climax near the time of the aspect,
and then the influences wanes
quickly during the waning hour. For example,
this morning, the market
rallied into Moon Conj. Venus (as would be expected)
and then topped
within five minutes of the exact aspect (9:53 AM) and then
declined for
almost exactly one hour. This morning's aspect and market action
fit the
ideal almost perfectly. However, it does not always work this well.
But,
when the set up is right, as it was this morning, your odds of
making
money are very good and then even for those times when it doesn't
work
so well you usually get a chance to break even. So, when the setup goes
as expected, this is a low risk trade.
For those who are
skeptical and think I am making this up after the
fact, a check of an
ephemeris or planetary aspectarian will reveal that
the Moon was Conjunct
Venus at 9:53 AM and that there were no other
significant events this
morning. I can not change this time or the
market's action.
One final note, the Lunar aspects that fit the above model have
tended to be
counter trend points, i.e. tops were good for one to a few
hours but then
then market went higher and conversely aspects that were
lows were good for
one to a few hours but then the market went lower.
The market action this
morning indicates to me that the market is likely
to go higher, but this is
subject to seeing how the market behaves into
the
Moon Conj. Neptune at
3:29 PM.

2. Norman on the Moon and
Volatility:

Volatility is a cyclical phenomena and I have worked
out
some of the intermediate to long term cycles that correlate with
the
highs and lows for stock market volatility. The longer term cycles
are
strongly correltated with the Moon's North Node's longitude and
its
18.61 year cycle. There is a cofunction of the Moon's North Node
related
to the maximium monthly amplitude of the Moon's declination (the Moon
in
Astrology represents emotion) which very accurtely descrbibes
the
volatility factor on a long term cyclical and historical basis. A
study
of some of these cycles is available in the 1997-98 Forecast &
Trading
Manual by Norman Winski in which I have a vested financial interest
and
I am totally biased as a result.

3. Norman, responding to a
query on "Full Moon on Dec
15-16 1997"

NW: I would not be surprised to see some panic circa 12/15-16, but
the
Full Moon is just one contributing factor. One must also be aware of
the
other planetary influences.

I think you get the picture.

Please contact Norman/BobR or look up some
astrology websites for further insight - I'm not even a beginning student of
astrology yet so I can't answer any questions that may
arise.

Kurt had previously backtested price action
correlations with New Moon and Full Moon dates and written up the results. I
forget the conclusions. I think BobR also tracked it for some time and made some
modifications. This is easy to do using Excel and data on past moon dates so I
won't go into it here.
