Below are the results of our weekly "Guess the Dow" sentiment survey. The survey
was taken from 12/29 through 1/4 on our web site.

56% bullish, 48% last week
18% bearish, 26% last week
26% neutral, 26% last week

Median guess for the DJIA closing value on Friday, 1/9: 7988 (it was 7844 last

Bullishness increased in our Guess the Dow contest. The bulls picked up 8% to
56%. The gain came entirely at the expense of the bears, how dropped 8% to 18%.
The neutral camp stayed even at 26%. This gain by the bulls is not much of a
surprise given the stock market's strong performance early last week. The
bullish reading of 56% is high, but not quite high to sound the alarm bells.
