Hi Rtrs,
Regarding
the Turtle Trading System and the Donchian system which is basically
suppose to be the same, the system is suppose to have 27 or 29 losers in a
row. It has a huge drawdown, need a very big account to trade preferably
$100,000 and a strong stomach. It is not meant for the average small
trader with less than $20k. However, I have not used this system but got
the information from various sources. There may be others among Rtrs who
have traded this system by modifying it. One possibility is to combine it
with options.
Turtle Soup is a strategy which
consists of fading the Turtle system as spelled out in the book Street
Smarts by Linda Rashke and Larry Connors. Perhaps somebody has used the
Turtle Soup Strategy successfully- No disrespect to the turtles is
