  My two cents is that if you can't do it on a $5 calculator, forget it.
All the best rocket scientist have already been hired by the big Wall
Street firms and you will never beat them at their own game unless you
have a multi-million dollar budget and the best computers in the world.
Even given the latter, there is no guarantee that you will make any
money, witness the recent demise of the faith by Wall Street in neural
nets and artificial intelligence. Yes, the most powerful computer in
the world is located right between your ears. If you can't make that
work for you in the markets, you should consider another line of work.
