Actually, it's more amazing how many people don't think before they act. I
receive files from this list all the time. Receiving unwanted files is just
a part of being on this list.
BUT...what we are taliking about is SIXTEEN binary files, one of which was
just a fax cover sheet, the rest being scans from a couple of old books. It
wasn't "hot" information that needed to get out right away. It would have
been very easy to ask the list who wanted to receive it before wasting
everyone's time. That would not have put anyone out or made anyone angry.
Besides being a waste of bandwidth, these files may also be a flagrant
copyright violation, but we won't get into that.
