The Dow is a far superior contract to the Emini. The ridiculous rules that
not even the players are aware of, and have been discussed on this list
recently, are testimony to that. The way the overhight markets are moving who
sleeps with no stops anyway? No stock index contract allows stops overnight.
If you think the "limits" are protecting you, then you need to feel what it
is like to be in a commodity that is locked limit agaist you several days in
a row. As well there can be no long lived nor very large discrepancy between
stock indexes...... that is what arb desks are for. If you need to hedge the
dow overnight you can use the emini if necessary.
