Subject: Best Option Software Survey Results
Thanks to you who gave me input on the above subject. The softwares that
were mentioned where Opcalc 3.5, Option Trader 98, Option Station,
Optionvue, Option Pro. I will check them out. Thanks.
While looking through some old files, I came across the following post of 23rd
May this year, which may be of some help:
I've not been to their web page and it is a year or more since I purchased the
program - admittedly for a special, what they called, "OptionVue Upgrade"
price - so I don't know the current cost. The main point is that Option Pro
cover all the aspects of option trading (dynamic evaluator for what-if-ing,
graphs, volatility studies, tracking, record keeping, etc), but none of the
components require additional and continuous services for the program to
function. If, like me, you concentrate on futures, it can lie dormant for
ages, but spring to life without the fuss when required.
Their COE is a David ....witz (sorry can't remember, but I think he is the
only David there!) and he is the originator of the program. His team are
always very helpful - and were very pleasant when I visited them just outside
Chicago last autumn at 107 North Hale, Suite 206, Wheaton, Illinois 60187. It
is best to get the low down from them direct. They did do a free demo disk
and they do have a number of other services for stock and futures.
As may be obvious, I'm not in touch with them at the moment and while I am
quite happy to try and help people to save money by pointing them in their
direction, they can make their own case! All I know is that when I was
having a very unhelpful time with Option Vue, they were like a breath of fresh
air and the Option Pro program was equally so.
Best of luck
Bill
