The last broadcast VIX was 39.96........I'm not certain it was really
representative. My actual guess at premature shutdown would have been
closer to 60, but then again I'm not certain implied really was a
meaningful measure today.
10/87 vix calculated 150+, but again on days like today you have to
discount implieds somewhat.
Over 1 million contracts traded. On a notional dollar basis today in
Option was bigger than NASD and NYSE combined.
No real horroor stories at the surface as of COB. Interesting to watch
seat pxs on Tues.
