Hi Richard,
You might try stock or index options (OEX, SPX), but you
will have to shop for a broker that will allow you to trade them in your IRA.
(Schwab will allow covered call writing in an IRA but nothing else). I do
not beleive there is anything "illegal" about having options (or even
futures) in an IRA, just brokers trying to protect the uninformed masses
from themselves (not to mention protecting their owne collective asses). If
you find a broker that will allow trading in an IRA let me know, or post it
here.
