They sell a net program which automatically pre-processes the data in
Excel.
You then send the data from Excel into the net. Interesting Web Page. You
can also download a zip file on using Trade Station with the net.
Click on <Investors and Money Managers> to see their current S&P system.
It is not an actual trading model, since no stops are used, but has been
very accurate for this year.
I have read many times that nets are not adaptive to changing conditions.
Well, if it has been trained in a time frame of a raging Bull, wouldn't it
at least give an indication that the Bull is over when it quit working? If
it is optimized to yesterdays conditions, are todays conditions that much
different? Wouldn't frequent retraining reoptimize it? Why not train nets
on different time frames? Say a Bear market set of data, Bull market set,
and a rangebound set. Maybe another tool, rather than a stand alone trading
system.
