I have been working on developing a trading system based on the FEAR
indicator developed by Walt Downs. Included is a system based on the rule
that is fearfast is above the FEAR indicator you should go long and
opposite short. Using the following rules in QUickEditor:
Go long:
FRfast(5,1) crosses over FRSetLo(20,1.5)
Go short:
FRfast(5,1) crosses below FRSetLo(20,1.5)
As you can see on the chart the buy signals need to be improved. Any ideas
appreciated.
(The data used is BIFFEX (COntinous) traded on LIFFE).
