I've been using Metastock for windows 6.0 for about 2 months now and
have noticed a possible trading system. Using the macd study (expert
system), the screen plots red (for overbought) and green (for oversold)
bars. Once the screen has painted colored bars, wait for the MACD
signal. I've notice this is not perfect but does seem to have some
promise. I prefer to use the system with a compression of 3. Filters
out quick moves but is still faster than weekly data. I'd be interested
in other opinions of this.
I am also programing this into TAS to get some idea of profitability.
