I use VNC, it is free, viewer can be put on a floppy
and not even be installed on your computer from which
you want to access your home computer. Plus you can
instruct your firewall to close the port through which
you are accessing your home computers VNC server for
everyone and open that port only for the computer from
which you are accessing your VNC server. VNC server
runs in background on your home PC and you can turn
off the HTML server option on it so that they do not
accidentally view your home computer as a web page.
