   Nasdaqtrader's list appears out of date so their weightings probably are
   too. SPOT was removed from the index almost a year ago. 

Unless there have been major changes, the weightings should still be
in the 'neighboorhood'.

   I'd always go by the official NASDAQ site rather than some third
   party.

But the third parties actually trade the interesting bits.


   PS - remember to work in percentages rather than points when building
   your own index from the cap weightings -- MSFT moves 1%, the index moves
   .07%.

Actually the data from nasdaqtrader allowed me to calculate the
scalers for multiplying the current last price of a stock (and then
summing over the index components) to create the predicted index
value.  So MSFT moves 1 pt, the index moves about 4.
