Most likely. It's been attempted before, and was stopped under
Omega's legal threat (circa 1999). 

Nice to know you're still around Joel. What happened to QuantStudio etc?

Would a free (open source) EL-to-something-else translator violate Omega's
copyright? Would they be able to go after the open source developer?
