As a software programmer by trade I respect Tradestation for the great piece of software that it is. Sometimes I still get those 'respect' moments. Although of course it did cost a bunch of cash so I guess I should expect them. But the developers are (were?) masters, no doubt about it. I'm talking TS4 of course ;)

call Microsoft but you will be on the phone for over 2 hours and the only
answer they have is to "reboot".

TS is not the best in the world but they do try a little bit harder than
that!!!

So lets just say, TS is a "good", not great, like Microsoft, software
company!

The real issue is can you get the job done with what ever software you
choose. I have Ts2K and TS 8.1. They both have worked just fine for me. I
use them every day and they get the job done.

Guess you have not tried any other? ;)

I have been using Tradestation products for many years and I have been

able

to find fixes or work arounds for every problem that I have had. This

forum

gives us access to some very good minds and these good people provide

fixes,

free of charge. I still use TS2000i primarily for Radar Screen as it

allows

me to scan 5000 symbols at a time. I believe it will be quite some time
before TS 8.1 or later will be able to do that. I also use TS 8.1 for
trading my accounts. The good people at Tradestation work hard at trying

to

improve their products and have a forum for uses to submit their wish

list.

No other software company I know of goes to the extent they do to meet

their

clients needs. I believe you would change your mind if you were to attend
the Tradestation Expo and meet the people behind the scenes. See you

there

in September.

Yes it took them years to create all those bugs while continually taking
money from people with the promise of conitnued upgrades even to the

last

version they had adamantly promised right from the mouth of the

President

of

the coporation Mr. Cruz that they will release one last fix while moving

on

to TS6,7,8 which they never came across with. They are benefiting from

the

seeds they have sown and deserve what they get.

Pierre

I sorry I misunderstood what you were saying. It came across to me with

a

complete different meaning. It just bothers me when people give other
people access to software that took a company years to develop. If we

use

it we should pay for it so the developers can be compensated

accordingly.

Sorry for speaking out of line.

Hi Dale,

a misunderstanding here. Pierre, a respected member of this list, had

merely verbalized the hidden meaning of another member's request for

forum

access. You may be sure that Pierre would never steal software. He is a
software vendor himself, and a truly nice individual, too.

Best wishes,
Michael Suesserott

Someday they will find a way to put people like you away for a long

time

for

stealing. If you can't make enough from your trading stealing a

program

is

not going to do you much good anyway. You will still be the loser

you

are.

More than what you think, here is the exact translation :

"I have a bootlegged Tradestation version and I'm willing to take

advantage

of the TS forum by offering in exchange other pirated software that

I

currently (hmmm) own..."
