My choice would be to completely bypass the MetaStock bit and just use
good old ASCII - a much more reliable data format IMO.

You can check the BigPoint value when you load the file and alter it
as required. It would probably be a good idea to add all your Kiwi
stocks to the GS anyway - it will take a while but you only have to do
it once.
