Hi Phil,
Even if you are not going to use TS8 data, you'll need to pay $199
non-brokerage subscription fee http://www1.tradestation.com/fees/subscription_op.shtm or $99.95 if
you are brokerage client http://www1.tradestation.com/fees/platform_fees.shtm. In other words
OwnData is just an addition to the required TS data and there is no possible
way out of the monthly fee from TS8 whether you use their data or not.
