In addition to being in violation of agreements, even if you do do
it, it won't last.
If you do a central server, then you'll get shut down as soon as word
gets out.
If you do Peer-To-Peer like Kazza or something like that, then you
may get your quotes 2 seconds later, 2 minutes later, or 2 hours
later, depending on how it's routed. In addition to that, it'll slow
down the system that's sharing the data, just what you want in the
heat of trading battle, huh???
And if you're so cheap/poor/lousy a trader that you can't afford the
cheapest streaming quotes like money.net or something, then you don't
need to be trading in a way that depends on real-time quotes.
Next thing you know someone's gonna come up with a way to trade to
save on commissions. Just put in your trades and send them to a
central server where all similar trades are aggragated, so if 50
people send in orders to buy 1000 shares of TWX each, it can go to
Ameritrade for a single execution and you guys could split the $9.95
cost!
