I find TWS just fine myself.

Much of your complaint seems to revolve around computer literacy and
whether an application is user friendly in your opinion.

I would suggest to you that unless you are willing to invest the time in
yourself to become "literate enough" and capable enough to deal with
most decent software, you should not look to day-trading as a source of
income.

Treat it as a biz - if your regular biz required a certain proficiency
with computers, you'd develop those skills, would you not?

Perhaps you should pick a platform that works well enough but also pick
a broker that is there to hand hold you - that would cut IB out. I like
IB myself, but am able to hold my own hand - in 5 years I have only
phoned their help desk once to have them manually put through a trade.

I second the comment of another than NQ futures are a better day trading
vehicle than QQQ. Liquidity, leverage, flexibility of shorting any where
- order execution - dealing with AMEX execution in fast markets can be
problematic at times.

I use QQQ or options on QQQ for multi-day swing trades but never for day
trading.

Cheers
Mike
