Noel,

Couple of things. You really need to have TS2ki SP5 on a CD directly
from Tradestation. If you have a burned copy from someone and it is
SP4 or less then you can't get a SP5 CD from Tradestation. EVERYONE
THAT REALLY OWNS TS2KI NEEDS TO GET THE SP5 CD from Tradestation.
This allows you to install the whole program off the CD.

From the sentence "It works fine but when I install service pack 5
I get invalid password error ..." I'm taking this to mean he
installed another version of TS2ki then tried to upgrade it to Build
822. So he may have used SP3 or less and that doesn't work at all.
You have to at least have SP4 then install the Build 822 that I think
you can still download from Tradestation. This gets you to SP5 Build
822. If you have the full CD SP5 (build 822) then that is all you
install.

So I'm guessing the wrong thing might have been installed. In that
case then open the registry per my clean install document and delete
the Omega Research folder. This will kill off the incorrect password
and all the other incorrect stuff.

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR NAME HERE\Local Settings\Temp
and delete all the tmp files in there. Then follow the document to
install. I have made a change in the procedure listed next.
If you have a Omega Research folder on your C: or whatever drive
then rename it something like OR2. Then install TS2ki SP5 and copy
the folders I list in the document so your work and data will be there.

The other possible is you typed the password incorrectly. With a
clean install you have to enter the password. Any upgrade or non
clean install the computer will see it and enter it for you. The
final problem is rarely if you install on top of the old Omega
Research folders the install will not work. As in password problems.

I will send Noel the document in a different email as it will keep
this from posting on the Omega List.
