Indeed. There's nothing you cannot do with QuantStudio either. It's a
question of how used you are to do things the vendor's way and how
extensive is your knowledge of the platform.

I'll describe the holes in QS in a separate message.

Python should be almost as easy as EL. I had one member of the list with
20 years of experience writing compilers offer to do the EL translator.
That was to Java but maybe Python would not make a difference. I think
such a translator is key.
