The e-mini symbol that Global Server recognizes is ES M4. Importing DTN IQFeed data via
Dynastore works because Dynastore translates the DTN symbol of @ESM4 into ES M4.
Unfortunately neither the Hyperserver History Plugin nor the Hyperserver Online
Downloader seems to do this. I succeeded in downloading from DTN using the Hyperserver
Online Downloader and the @ESM4 symbol(the History Plugin wouldn't download this symbol
or ESM4 or ES M4...don't ask me why).
Then, since the Global Server dictionary doesn't recognize @ESM4 I inserted a New Symbol
called @ESM4 and set it up for CME with all the same settings used for the ES M4 symbol
that Global Server recognizes. Even the expiration rule (#39) is set the same. I tried
to import the @ESM4 data and it seemed to work, the symbol was recognized in the import
module...but there was no data shown in EDIT SYMBOL/EDIT DATA so something isn;t right.
My question is can this even be done? Can you import legitimate xpo data under an
assumed name?
BTW, both the Online Downloader and the History Plugin work fine with regular stock
symbols, although when I tried to use History Plugin during market hours today to fill a
gap in all my symbols(aprox 200) it hung up the Global Server for more than half an hour
and I finally had to "end task" to get Tradestation working again, and then I used
History Plugin for downloading 5 symbols at a time and it worked fine.
Hope I'm not boring the list silly with my messages but you can see I'm on a mission to
find a datafeed translator amd a history downloader that work with DTN IQFeed and
TS2000i.
