You don't need netbeui, nor do you want to use it. You don't have something
configured correctly.

FYI:
XP on new machine.
Win2000 on 2 other machines.
Couldn't recognize eachother. Had to
install NetBEUI- it is NOT installed by XP
but it is on the XP disk! it must be installed and enabled. On my lan
anyway.
(it took 3 of us 2 hours to figure that one out- we were rolling with
laughter after we solved it-
it's not IN any manual, or book that we had: just one of those things you
figure out..)
