WinXp can make them appear as one desktop.. that's what I have. Since both
of my card s are nVidia, I use nVidia's nView Desktop management thing. All
4 monitors act as one big desktop. It's possible to stretch apps accross
different monitors etc.

I think it works pretty much the same way for NT & win2k as well.

Check http://www.9xmedia.com/Pages/Products.html for some nice eyecandy.. I
didn't buy from them, but the site showcases nicely what's possible.
