Ian:  It normally means that the registrant has chosen, for any number of
reasons, to no longer be registered with NFA.  He may have retired (as I
did), gone out of business, chosen to specialize in a different category,
etc.  You can run down the regulatory history by using Basic.  The mere fact
that the registrant is no longer with the NFA tells you nothing about the
practices of the individual/company.  But you should always check NFA before
you do business with a person/company.
