When you look up a company or individual on the NFA site, you sometimes
see an entry that might read like this:
Status Effective Date
• COMMODITY TRADING ADVISOR WITHDRAWN 02/30/2003
• COMMODITY TRADING ADVISOR REGISTERED 10/14/2001
• COMMODITY TRADING ADVISOR PENDING 11/27/2001
Which suggests that their CTA status was withdraw in 2003.
Can someone explain what this means? Does it mean that they were thrown
out, resigned, asked to leave or simply didn't keep up the membership
payments? Is this a company/person you want to stay away from or have
they just moved away from the NFA?
