Late '79 / early '80 the price was in the $50's, peaking at $54.
Sounds like the guy is talking about cash silver prices...over the weekend
preceding the final Comex high, I bought a silver bar for 50 and sold it to
the next guy who walked in the door a few minute later for 55....crazy,
crazy times that make the S&P swings look mild!!!
