It would be seamless if the generator went to an AC-to-DC converter
that connected in parallel to the battery on your UPS.  Then the
generator would simply look like another battery to the UPS.  There
would be some efficiency loss converting the AC power from the
generator to DC and then having the inverter convert it back to
DC again, but the loss wouldn't be small, and the generator would
probably be capable of powering much more than all the computer
equipment anyway.
