It makes sure the data ***inside the TS database*** is arranged
in a sensible and non-fragmented way. This means TS has to do
less gymnastics to find the data inside its database. The less
work you can make TS do, the better.
It doesn't do anything to the database file itself, so Windows
may have fragmented the file all over the disk, but TS isn't
aware of that. It's a good idea to defrag your disk too, so both
the data inside the database AND the database file itself are
cleaned up.
UNFRAG.EXE only works on TS4 databases. I think Bob was thinking
of doing one for TS2k but I don't know if he ever got to it.
