AW: Flat Panel Monitors...

Hi.

I have two identical 15 inch flat panel monitors at home (german brand).
Since I hate the computer noise I reduced my computer to nearly no sound
(no vans at all). What I found out is that one was making a terrible
high noise that you would not hear if the computer is on and makes the
normal sound. So you should LISTEN to that too. I just bought a 20' from
Dell. Why 20' and why Dell? Because it offers both analog and digital
feed and it also offers 1600x1200 resolution. The new Matrox VGAs
support two digital monitors with this resolution. As soon as I get some
time to sit down I will upgrade my complete quite computer with this
VGAs. I believe that is the best setup. I guess I love the best! ;-)

Hello all,

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find much anywhere. I
am looking to buy a couple Flat Panel monitors, and would like to get
19inch viewable screens. It seems these can be had for around $700 plus
or minus a few bucks.

Does anyone out there have experience with any brand? I have looked at
NECs, Viewsonics, Gateways...is there one that's superior or are any of
them to be stayed away from? I would appreciate any input or guidance in
which direction I should be looking.

Sincerely,
