Hello Everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I found nothing in the Windows
Knowledge Base or on the various troubleshooting sites.
Installed new hd and Win2000 Pro couple weeks ago. Everything had been
working fine until yesterday.
1.7/13/03 I installed a Win Security Update, a Recommended Update for
Win2000, and a MS .NET Framework update.
2.Also installed Direct CD then uninstalled it via Add/Remove and deleted
the Direct folder manually.
3.I've had EZ CD Creator installed since day 1 and it works fine.
4.Also installed TS2000i EOD and it seems to work fine (TS, GS, Power Ed.).
Now when I click Start/Shut Down/Shut Down, Win2000 shuts down OK but the
box won't power down. The fans keep spinning, the power light stays on,
the monitor goes dark with a cursor flashing in the upper left corner.
