I am stumped on an ascii file issue. I manually created two continuous SP
data files in excel in the form
20000907 935 1570.7 1570.9 1569 1569 38
20000907 940 1568.8 1570.4 1568.7 1568.9 51
20000907 945 1569 1569.7 1568.2 1568.7 37
20000907 950 1568.9 1569.2 1568 1568.4 43
20000907 955 1568.5 1569.7 1568.2 1569.4 47
One of the files works in TS, the other does not. The one that does not
displays times that are 5 min after the actual time in the data file, and
also it displays only a single value, not OHLC. The one that works is
perfect. The source data is the same for the two files, only contract months
are different. I've tried reformatting, renaming, tab or comma delimited,
using 1st line for definition, checking each of the individual contract
files, manually checking and still can find nothing wrong to make the bad
file not work. Obviously I am overlooking something. Anyone able to offer
any clues based on the symptoms -- late times and only single value? Thanks!
