"Juan" at TradeStation support acknowledges that there have been other
similar reports. He says that a maintenance release of TS7 is due out
within a week or two and this is one of the problems which Engineering says
will be fixed.
Something I did which has somewhat reduced the magnitude of the problem is
to reduce the number of days of data loaded into a couple of the charts. I
discovered that two 1-minute charts were loading 3000 days of data (probably
a default I established for daily data and probably assigned to these charts
automatically during the upgrade from TS4 to TS6).
Even so, however, this job is not so extreme that it should peg the CPU at
100%. I suspect that this is some sort of inter-process-communication
problem, perhaps inherited from the 16-bit TS4 design.
