How about just installing a virus scanner ? More possibilities
than just Klez. Searches show that it could also be that you
have the Yaha virus.

If you don't have a virus scanner at this moment, you are a
thread to us all. You better should be more resposible and
not only think about yourself !!
You would not need to be afraid of virusses like Klez because
it would have been recognized by your scanner. Every scanner
picks up these kind of older virusses.
There are many "safer" e-mail clients. Go do a search
on www.tucows.com
They will have many comments on all possible programs
you are able to use.
BUT YOU CAN NOT DO WITHOUT A VIRUS SCANNER !!!
