LPLONG FindAddress_... speed vs. storage inside the DLL

Just wondering.  Has anyone else noticed that by using the Easy
Language Toolkit Library functions like

LPLONG FindAddress_Open, LPLONG FindAddress_High, LPLONG
FindAddress_Low, and LPLONG FindAddress_Close

make the program work noticeably slower than just outputting all the OHLC data
into the DLL and storing in memory?  Now when I think of it this kinda
makes sense, but what's the purpose of the functions then?
