Hello ,
below are some comments about aberration on another email list that
the communist took over and will not allow the post. it apply's here
as well and the only commie here is po - he is sleeping i think.

exactly my point - this is not the real traders list where a small
group of guys dominate a large following of desperate wanna be's.
there has to be accountability, and the statement was flung out 15
markets 7 years and 98% this year return. it did not make sense at all
but we have all seen these post which make wild claims and worst make
it seem like there's nothing to it.
this stuff is serious hard work - if i had known it would this hard to
make a dollar trading i could have spent my time picking up aluminum
cans. yes you can become a multi millionaire doing that - think how
hard you would have to work about 24/7 in high traffic roadsides or
behind bars late at night.
now think about that being easier and taking less time to do than
making money trading and you get the idea how hard this is.
in my mind trend following is folly - the trend is not your friend.
now if your an investor and not a trader maybe markets appear to have
a directional bias. but really they do not, all markets are in a
transition to surprising the person who thinks he has the direction
figured out.
what every market does have is a personality and like a human these
traits can be identified and psychology applied to the subject to
obtain the maximum output of production like in a workplace
environment for example.
so if you think of markets as people you see that most do not produce
well when screamed at put under pressure. yet it would be a misnomer
to think that some would not perform better under pressure. so you
have to first diagnosticate the data on an individual basis. it is
hard long tedious work and even i want to belive the marketing hype
fueled by some zealot touting i made xx percent using this simple fit
all solution.
that is about as ignorant as believing that because you won gambling
at vegas today - you can get up every morning and go down there and
have a steady job taking the casino's money on a daily basis. ok i
have snapped my fingers time to wake up everyone.
